Broad content of Role:

This is a role, focussed on the UK and English-speaking European markets (predominantly The Netherlands and Scandinavia) based within the sales division of the Fidessa LatentZero business. This role is responsible for identifying, prospecting for and closing new business sales opportunities for the Fidessa LatentZero Enterprise product.

Key Requirements:

  • A proven sales record, including new business in financial services
  • Ability to present, discuss and propose at all levels within the buy-side
  • Proven pro-active lead generation – ideally in a new market or with a new product
  • Ability to work within a structured sale process that contains several deals at various stages of qualification/presentation/solution proving/closure simultaneously
  • Ability to balance the needs of hitting a sales target with working within a team
  • An understanding of the buy-side business model
  • Experience of selling software and/or services within financial services
  • Ability to communicate and present confidently and concisely using business acumen
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with prospects and internally
  • Flexibility to allow for significant amounts of European travel
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to maintain good humour

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To achieve the allocated sales target
  • To establish with sales management and marketing the actual target suspects (organisations and people) for the enterprise product, especially tier-1
  • To plan a contact campaign covering initial contact, follow-up, meeting scheduling etc
  • To record all contact in the prospect management tracking system and review prospects with sales management as required (at least weekly)
  • To manage the sales process for identified prospects – from initial contact through to closure
  • To work with marketing to produce any sales collateral required for the target market
  • To involve FLZ Product Management, Professional Services and Exec personnel as agreed with sales management in progressing the prospects effectively
  • To develop with the pre-sales team the most effective demonstration structure
  • To develop the commercial model for the product with sales management
