The Jobs
Each year we look for a number of high calibre, enthusiastic graduates who are interested in joining our graduate programme as their first step to a long term career within our organisation.
Upon joining as a Graduate Trainee your initial technical and business training will last around 4 - 6 months. This training will focus on equipping you with a basic technical understanding of our products, an appreciation of the global financial markets, sharpening your technical skills and preparing you for an exciting and challenging career within the Fidessa group.
A significant proportion of the initial training will be classroom style course based training but there will also be practical hands-on training and work experience within several different technical teams, highlighted by the job titles below.

Training
Your training and career development will be ongoing and continue on the job with the support of your manager and your team members. Within your first year you can expect to have developed into a capable IT professional and be making a valuable contribution to our organisation. The learning doesn’t however stop here, you will be continually learning as your career develops and as our business evolves.
Requirements
To be considered for our graduate programme you must meet the following criteria.
Have graduated or expect to graduate with a good Bachelor’s degree (first or second class depending on business area) in a computing related discipline or in another subject with a significant computing content. We will also consider Graduates with a Maths or Physics degree who are technical enthusiasts.
Have a good working knowledge of one or more programming/scripting languages: C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Java, Perl, PHP, Javascript
Knowledge of Unix
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Have an aptitude for solving complex technical problems
Be very fluent and confident in spoken and written English
Enjoy working as a team
Be eager to learn, enthusiastic and have initiative
Have excellent communication skills and the desire to provide outstanding service
Be flexible to work shifts for some positions and be on-call if required.
