Community & social engagement policy

We encourage participation and support for the local communities in which we work.

We seek to:

  • promote a culture which recognises and encourages support for good causes
  • positively contribute to communities of which we are part
  • donate to charities in line with our policies, considering local, national and international causes
  • encourage our employees to participate in initiatives that positively influence the local, national or global communities

We monitor and improve where we can to:

  • continually improve performance in this area
  • involve staff in the implementation of this policy, for greater commitment and improved performance
  • maintain this policy on a regular basis in consultation with stakeholders where necessary

Examples of community outreach projects include:

  • donating used computers to charities, local schools, underprivileged children, etc.
  • providing backpacks and school supplies to children in need and those in homeless shelters
  • supporting and volunteering in schools, soup kitchens and housing shelters
  • acting as a 'corporate partner' for local schools providing support for after-school clubs, management and leadership training, careers advice and business experience days
  • supporting numerous local and international charities
